  13.                     Thanks for trying ChessMAGIC! on your BBS!

  15.     In order for ChessMAGIC! to run, you MUST include on your command line 
  16.     certain parameters.  The proper procedure is detailed in CMAGIC.DOC, so 
  17.     please take a moment to read this documentation. 
  18.  
  19.     For those of you who hate to read docs, RUNIT.BAT will bring ChessMAGIC! 
  20.     up using the GENERIC.SYS file.  This method of operation causes 
  21.     ChessMAGIC! to prompt for a name entry.  This method of operation is NOT
  22.     recommended, but does provide you with a quick look before using properly 
  23.     with your particular BBS type. 
  24.     
  25.     The following BBS user file formats are DIRECTLY SUPPORTED by the current 
  26.     version of ChessMAGIC!:
  27.     
  28.            door.sys     - WildCat! v3.x, GAP v5.x, Generic & others 
  29.            callinfo.bbs - WildCat! v2.x 
  30.            generic.sys  - A simple user system file that ChessMAGIC! can 
  31.                           utilize.

  33.        Sample DOOR.BAT for systems using DOOR.SYS format:

  51.     Direct support of your systems' user file formats is underway and will be 
  52.     available in a future release.  In the meantime, we've included an 
  53.     excellent shareware utility (QKDOOR2F.EXE by Chris Hall) that converts 
  54.     your user files from one format to another.  This enables you to use 
  55.     ChessMAGIC! at once, with little additional effort. 
  56.     
  57.     Qkdoor is easy to run and doesn't even need to be configured (you can 
  58.     delete the QKDOOR.CTL file -- it isn't required).  Run it where your user 
  59.     information files for the required node are located, using a simple 
  60.     command line:

  62.          qkdoor pcb14 d:\cmagic\gap        {PCBoard v14.x} 
  63.          qkdoor pcb12 d:\cmagic\gap        {PCBoard v12.x} 
  64.          qkdoor rbbs2 d:\cmagic\gap        {RBBS node 2} 
  65.          qkdoor wwiv d:\cmagic\gap         {WWIV}

  67.     This will read in the user file data (in default area when run) and 
  68.     generate the DOOR.SYS file in your CMAGIC system directory (use whatever 
  69.     path suits your system setup).

  71.     After conversion to DOOR.SYS format, your ChessMAGIC! command line would 
  72.     be as simple as:
